Based on the signature pajamas Max wears in Where the Wild Things Are, this officially licensed costume starts with a white long-sleeve jumpsuit. The soft fleece garment features large white felt buttons on the front. The sleeves have attached paws with felt claws and an elastic loop to secure them around hands. Similar paws are connected to the pant legs and have elastic loops for securing them under shoes. A fluffy faux fur tail is fixed at the back of the costume.

Max’s crown comes included as a separate headpiece. Matching fleece shapes the base of the accessory. The white base features a hook-and-loop fastener to secure it under the chin. Long black felt whiskers are attached on either side of the headpiece’s face opening. Finally, a thick band of brown faux fur and a shiny gold-colored foam crown is attached to the top.
